WHO ARE WE!

We are artists, who by collaboratively creating in Artists Unleashed, will engage with like-minded creators, exhibit your artistic methods, and create a vibrant arts scene.  Whether you're sketching, molding, painting, or experimenting with diverse mediums— if you can create in the open air, we invite you to join us!

Plus, by your participation, you are providing opportunities for aspiring artists to follow their dreams.

HOW IT WORKS

Participation Guidelines:

1. Check in: When you arrive, check in at The Arts Center where you'll receive your Artists Unleashed event package.

2. Be courteous: Please stay in your assigned space so that you don't impede pedestrian traffic, occupy parking spaces, or disrupt nearby businesses at your work site.

3. Come prepared: Participants are responsible for all materials and tools they need to work (art supplies, easels, chairs, instruments, etc.).  

   1. Event organizers do not provide tents, chairs, tables, or other equipment.

   2. Water will be available at The Arts Center

   3. A sandwich special will be available at Yesterday’s Restaurant.  Information on choices will be provided prior to the event.

4. Clean Up:  Please remove any trash and leave the place looking better than when you found it.

5. Selling:   Artists Unleashed is about making artwork in public and sharing that process to promote yourself and your local creative community and selling is encouraged.  You must collect and file appropriate sales taxes.

   1. If you would like The Arts Center to handle your sales, a 10% service charge will be applied.

6. Participation? We encourage you to participate for as long as you can, but we understand if you can't stay for the entire event. Please note the following:

   1. If you need to arrive late or leave early, please notify The Arts Center staff.

   2. When you take breaks, ensure your workspace and personal items are secure. Neither J-Art Inc., The Arts Center of Montross, nor any participating businesses are responsible for any loss you may experience.

   3. We appreciate your cooperation in making this a safe and enjoyable event for everyone!

7. Rain or Shine: Artists Unleashed happens rain or shine as long as no safety concerns are anticipated.

8. MEET UP:  Please join us after you take down your set up, for a reception and a Wrap & Reflect Reception.  Refreshments will be served!
